Ruhl is a baking supply company that delivers high-quality products to bakeries and kitchens throughout the Mid-Atlantic states. Located just off I-95 in Hanover, Maryland, we distribute a full line of dry and frozen goods to clients throughout the region, from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.
Established in 1789 as a flour and feed mill, the firm closed its milling operation in the mid-1800s and began distributing flour to bakers in Baltimore City. Sugar was added to the product line in 1950 and mixes were added in 1960. George Ruhl, III became president and owner in 1972 and expanded the business into other categories and states. The company is still an independent, family-owned business that has been in the Ruhl family for seven generations. Although we continually adapt to the changing marketplace and invest in modern technologies to deliver even better service, we always hold true to the original family values that have always been at the heart of the company.
